Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic data science team in the Information Technology department. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative data-driven solutions and uncovering valuable insights from complex datasets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-centric decision-making and provide actionable recommendations to support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques to analyze large, structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Develop and implement predictive models, algorithms, and data mining techniques to extract meaningful patterns and insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed using advanced analytics.
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses, validate models, and measure the performance of data-driven solutions.
- Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the datasets.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, data flows, and data visualization dashboards.
- Interpret and communicate results of data analyses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and guidelines for data science projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Tableau, matplotlib, ggplot).
- Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and SQL databases.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis).
- Ability to apply data science techniques to solve real-world problems and drive business outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
